Viv Richards was our hero in the caribbean. Whenever the announcer said next up to bat...Viv Richards.....the crowd would stand to their feet. My mom was a huge cricket fan and she would get excited when Richards walked out to bat. He cast a huge shadow on West Indies cricket.

Hadlee, Lillie, and Thomson bowled for the President's 11, and Dean Jones batted. They tore NZ to peices in that game. I was there and got to speak to Hadlee for a while. A real thrill for me, as he was my number 1 hero growing up in NZ in the 70's and 80's.
